Academic and Training Program Hub
This database includes academic offerings for people interested in furthering their formal education at the intersection of health and extreme weather. This includes degree programs, coursework, fellowships, and other resources that require more time and financial commitment than the offerings in CAFE’s Educational Resource Hub.
This is a crowd-sourced database, and CAFE does not verify the quality nor endorse the use of any materials included in this database. Please follow the terms of use and attribution requirements specific to each resource. If you would like to share an academic offering, please use the submission form below. We invite the addition of health and extreme weather academic offerings from around the world.
Our work brings together partners in research, policy and practice, and community engagement to reduce the impacts from climate change. We work with policymakers in local, state, national, and international agencies and practitioners from community and environmental organizations and businesses such as insurance, engineering, and climate finance. Social justice is central to our work at UC Santa Cruz. We recognize that the impacts of climate change most affect communities that have contributed the least to the problem and work to resolve this inequity.

Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego is one of the most important centers for global earth science research and education in the world. Scripps scientists work to understand and protect the planet by investigating our oceans, Earth, and atmosphere to find solutions to our greatest environmental challenges. Scripps leads research in climate change impacts and adaptation, resilience to hazards, conservation and biodiversity, oceans and human health, national security, and innovative technology to observe the planet.Research at Scripps Institution of Oceanography is organized into three administrative sections: Biology, Earth, and Oceans & Atmosphere. Each of these sections is composed of smaller disciplinary and multidisciplinary research units.

The UCLA Center for Healthy Climate Solutions (C-Solutions) focuses on protecting people and communities from the effects of climate change. The center equips decision makers with solutions that will reduce inequities and benefit their economy, environment, and health. Alongside their partners, the center uses evidence-based best practices that improve health and resilience, now and for generations to come.
