Pat Kinney, ScD

Pat Kinney, ScD
Prof. Kinney works at the intersection of global environmental change and human health, with an emphasis on climate change and air pollution. He created the first climate and health program in the US at the Columbia University, where he pioneered studies examining how climate change could increase health risks from air pollution and extreme heat in the future. Recent work focuses on the health benefits that can be achieved through climate mitigation strategies. He earned his doctorate at the Harvard School of Public Health, working with data from the Harvard Six Cities Air Pollution and Health Study.

Jonathan Levy, PhD

Jonathan Levy, PhD
Jonathan Levy is Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Health at BUSPH. His research centers on urban environmental exposure and health risk modeling, with an emphasis on spatiotemporal exposure patterns and related environmental justice issues. He has conducted multiple studies modeling the public health co-benefits of climate mitigation strategies and other policy measures that can reduce carbon emissions. He has been a member of several National Research Council committees and also served on the US EPA Advisory Council on Clean Air Compliance Analysis.
